Are YOU an Abomination?

At first glance, two different articles posted on Huffpo do not appear to be related to each other -- or to LGBTQ rights for that matter. But they ARE deeply connected – woven together by the common thread of sanctioned hate speech and violence.

In one article, Lane Hudson (the blogger who broke the Mark Foley/Congressional Page scandal), writes about his decision to report (to the Secret Service) a comment/veiled death threat on Hillary Clinton’s life that was posted on Bill O’Reilly’s blog. Whether you agree or not that the comment was an actual death threat is not the point here.

The other article, by Max Blumenthal, describes his experience at the Christians United for Israel's (CUFI) annual Washington-Israel Summit.

Max Blumenthal’s piece includes a video of CUFI’s conference. In the short video, Blumenthal interviews Christians who believe in the end times and base their rabid support for Israel on the belief that Jesus will return only when all of the Jews return to Israel (or something like that). By the way, these “Christians” also believe that Jews who do not accept Christ as their savior will burn in an eternal hell fire. Further, their support of Israel is directly proportional to their fervid hope (and prayer) that Armageddon will happen sooner – rather than later. They openly and proudly pray for the US and/or Israel to instigate a war with Iran (which will hasten the inevitable fulfillment of Biblical prophecy). AND – they believe that any attempt to initiate a peace process between the Palestinians/Muslims and the Israeli’s will be the work of the Anti-Christ. Muslims, according to one of the attendees (with others nodding in agreement), are EVIL and are Satan’s disciples.

We are not kidding – watch it yourself here:

And more to the point – because Senator Joe Lieberman (who is a Jew) and former Senator Rick (man on dog) Santorum participated in the conference – they offer legitimacy and their official, political blessing on these anti-Muslim, anti-Jew, anti-gay wing-nuts!

These message conveyed by these articles – especially when considered together – illustrate how hate speech – especially when it is encouraged/endorsed by elected officials and celebrities – AND when it is sanctioned by official government policy – may inspire a weak willed person to perpetrate an act of violence for - what they perceive is - a good and righteous cause.

And although we hate to break it to you – the LGBTQ Community is at the top of the list of evildoers – right up there with “Islamo-fascists”.

We should NOT have been shocked to see the image (see above) of this man’s T-shirt in the Blumenthal video, we were!

And what IS the connection between Christians United for Israel and www.ThirdGender666.com?

  • They are both founded by Christian Ministers – Pastor Hagee and Minister Leroy
  • Both justify their hate speech on Biblical scripture.
  • The groups' founders, followers and adherents are convinced of the rightness of their beliefs.
  • According to both groups, non-Christians (Jews, Muslims and Third Gendered People) are an abomination and must be converted or condemned.

The ThirdGender666 website (only one page was working when we logged on) says it best:

"We are committed to shedding light on a new name for an old sin. There is NO third gender. God made man and God made woman. There are only two choices. Anything else has come from evil and will eventually die."

What more is there to say?
