Going to the Chapel!

Congratulations to the thousands of Same-Sex Couples who have or will soon wed in California!

Finally, in some parts of America, anybody who wants to get married can do so. That is how it should be.
Marriage is a contractual relationship that is recognized by law.

The Constitution guarantees that every citizen is equally entitled to enjoy the benefits and rights that are available under the law.

The Defense of Marriage Act is unconstitutional and should therefore be abolished. Hopefully, President Obama will do just that.

In the meantime, it is unconscionable that the law in 48 States continues to treat LGBTQ Americans as second-class citizens.

The California ruling gives us hope that we will live to see the day when marriage rights will be extended to all.
